Our Philosophy

Our owner and founder Tom Green is a hands-on builder who you will find working on site, supervising the construction process. His eye for the smallest details is critical in delivering outstanding results on budget and on time, every time.
Cleared For Take-Off
Like many American businesses, BUILDITECT began as a working man’s passion. While serving as manager of Maintenance Operations at Continental Airlines, company founder Tom Green built his own family home with the help of his father in 1994. His prowess as a builder caught the attention of his supervisor at Continental, who commissioned Tom to build his 9,000 ft. sq. family home in 1997. During the construction, Tom placed a sign in the yard advertising his new custom home business and within six months, he had four additional homes under construction, all while still working full-time at Continental Airlines.
In 1998, Tom resigned from the airline industry to pursue his passion for building custom homes full-time. Today, BUILDITECT has come full circle as a father-son undertaking, with Tom’s son Hayes now on board.
